All or Nothing

What a night.
Mood:  not sure
I think I can breath now. My son hurt himself so I grabbed him and my daughter to take him to the E.R. On the way to the E.R. I clocked a buck at 60 MPH. My daughter was slammed forward and slung back (by her seatbelt) she was slammed into the cup holder (it pulls out) ash tray thing on the dash board. My heart fucking stopped because it looked like her head made contact with the windsheild. I asked if she hit it and if she was OK, and that's when she said she hit the console thing. Since she was OK and my sons health was my first priority I never stopped to assess the damage to my truck. I didn't care if my truck was bashed to hell or not.

Amazingly she is OK, he's OK now (sleeping off pain meds) and somehow my truck wasn't totalled.

Hearing my son scream in pain and my daughter in fear got to me. I don't think I've ever been so scared in my life. I was a basket case.

My husbands boss had him come home when I called my husband to tell him that I hit a deer while rushing my son to E.R. Thank God because he had to calm me down.

Anyway as bad as things sound, it could've been a hell of a lot worse, so I can actually consider ourselves to be very lucky!

Wow -- hitting a dear is rough ... especially when you're already tense.  Glad to hear that everyone is okay.  :)
